Athletics Carnival

Our annual Athletics Carnival kicked off on Thursday of Week 10 under glorious blue skies. 

To get the 2-day event started, students participated in a 3-legged race! After plenty of laughter, team spirit, and a few spills, the pastoral house points started to accumulate.

By the end of the first day, there was a tight battle between Muluridji and Deacon for first place.

Day 2 started with the pastoral house skits, with the houses embracing the 'football' team theme and entertaining the crowd while highlighting what makes their teams great.

A performance of Nutbush City Limits followed the Deacon 'Dolphin's' Footy Show.

The McAuley 'Cowboys' had a visit from footy legend, Johnathan Thurston.

The Muluridji 'Raiders' marched to the beat of their own drum.

Augustine 'Broncos' ... your team spirit shone through in your highly entertaining skit!

The day then got underway with events including the 400m, 100m, relays, discus, triple jump and javelin.

After a very tight battle between the top 3 places, we finished the day with McAuley in 4th, Muluridji 3rd, Deacon 2nd .... and for the first time in St Stephen's history, Augustine took out first place! Congratulations Augustine - it was an amazing effort!
