Grade 2 CampThemed Day

The Grade 2 students had fun during our Camp Themed Day. Students practised their procedure writing by making smores and then writing the steps involved, they calculated the cost of camping supplies and learned more about financial Mathematics. 

After lunch, they used their torches to do some sight word 'stargazing', saying the sounds in the words and practicing using them in a sentence. 

Our final activity of the day was using the scientific method to conduct experiments involving water. Students learned how to develop a hypothesis and recorded their results.

An opportunity was provided throughout the day to engage in some 'free time' activities such as puzzle building, card games, and drawing. This allowed them to further develop their connections with their classmates.
