Dear Parents,

Olympics Day

Our Olympic Games Day is Friday, 14th June, complete with a Torch Relay, Parade of Nations, Opening and Closing Ceremony and Official Flag Bearers!

"Be Skilled Be Fit" personnel coordinate this very special event. All children, K-6, can participate in this exciting day of games and sports. The children will be divided into small groups and allocated a country that they will represent throughout the day.

The day is broken up into sessions as follows:

9.15 - 9.45 - Opening Ceremony - Infants and Primary

9.45 - 11.05 - Infants Events

11.30 - 12.00 - Recess

12.00 - 1.25 - Primary Events

2.00 - 2.30 - Closing Ceremony - Infants and Primary

The cost of the Olympic Games is $5.00 per child.

Permission and payment are due by Wednesday, 12th June and can made through the parent portal.

We know there has been some confusion around payment for this activity. This is the result of an error on our part. If you are unsure if you have paid, please contact the front office.

Western Cross Country

Good luck to our students who will represent our district at the Western Cross Country Carnival on Wednesday next week. I'm sure you will make our school very proud.

Assemblies

Thank you for your support and understanding in postponing the Infants and Primary Assemblies. These will take place on Wednesday next week. Keep a look out on Facebook for a list of students who will be receiving awards.

Western Dance Festival

I had the absolute privilege of attending the Western Dance Festival on Monday. It always astounds me how confident young people are in performing in front of a large audience. Our Stage 3 dance troupe's performance from the musical Hairspray was a stand-out. Thank you, Mrs. McClements, for supporting and preparing the troupe for their performance and Mrs. Mooney for assisting on the day.

State Hockey Championships

Congratulations to Will Simeonidis and Charlotte Falconer, who represented the Western region last week at the NSW State Hockey Championships in Newcastle. Will's team finished 8th overall, which was a great effort. Charlotte's team finished 3rd overall- amazing! A special congratulations to Charlotte, who captained her side.

State Basketball Championships

Last week in Newcastle, Cruz Fischeback and Clara Wood represented the Western Region at the NSW State Basketball Championships. Cruz's boy's team had a tough draw but played exceptionally well, as did Clara's.

Athletics Carnival

Well done to all students who competed at the athletics carnival on Tuesday. Students and teachers had a wonderful day of competition and cheering. Thank you, Mr Jablonskis, Mr Thackray and Mrs Burns, for coordinating the day.

A big congratulations to Sophie McPhee and Lilly Guihot for setting new records on the day!
