Student Leaders Corner
Hey everyone! Welcome back to another term!
We have many things to look forward to this time around, namely the Cultural Celebration week happening during the last week. It will be a great opportunity to celebrate the multicultural diversity of the school. Watch out for some excellent cultural performances that week!
First I would like to congratulate Hakea house on winning the house chorales competition. It was a fantastic night with all the students singing their hearts out, making it one of the true highlights of the year.
The Push-Up Challenge was equally successful, with over 60,000+ push-ups completed and $3958 raised. We managed to place 10th in Victoria (out of 110+) for being the school with the most amount of money raised. This could not have been possible without the support of students and teachers, whether through actively doing the push-ups or through donating, your participation has made a huge impact towards mental health outcomes in our community.
The Year 12 leaders have been meeting regularly to discuss plans for this term. As always, if you would like to see something implemented, feel free to speak to your SRC or one of us leaders. We are all more than happy to help.
For some of us, this time of the year marks the middle, but for some this marks the final stretch before exams. As important as it is to 'make every minute count', please remember to take care of your mental wellbeing. Go for a walk or do some activities that helps to make you feel relaxed.
See you around the school yard!
