We welcome visitors from our Japanese sister school with a lovely display of Japanese & Australian cultures. During the Paris Olympics we will celebrate French culture & all sports. We will have new displays & a trivia quiz during lunchtime. We will show some of the sporting events on a big screen at lunchtime. 

In August we celebrate Children’s Book Week with two special visitors, authors Mandy Ord & Martin Chatterton. The theme this year is ‘Reading is Magic’. Mandy Ord is a graphic artist who has written & illustrated several books. She will run small group writing & drawing workshops with Year 8 students. Martin Chatterton is a crime novelist & he will be presenting on writing to our Year 9 students.

We will celebrate Roald Dahl on his birthday Friday the 13th of September. In the last two weeks of term, we will be promoting holiday borrowing with a raffle ticket competition.
