Melbourne Victory Program
I had the pleasure of joining the Melbourne Victory Program as they celebrated the Elite Performers for Semester 1. Congratulations to Daniel and Abdul (Year 7 Program) - well done for their outstanding efforts and commitment to the program.
Trials for the Program will take place in Week 4 of this term, for students who are interested in joining the program in Semester 2.

Year 8 Boys Table Tennis
Greater Dandenong District Champions!
Wednesday 31 July saw the Greater Dandenong Year 8 Table Tennis Competition being contested at the Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Association stadium at Oasis in Dandenong.
Our boys were pitted against teams from Mt Hera, Carwatha and Keysborough-Acacia.
The first match of the day was our closest contest of the day against Keysborough-Acacia. Scores were tied at 2 games each after the 4 singles games, the doubles matches were also split but a greater points tally saw DHS win 3 games 55 pts to K-A 3 games 48 pts.
The boys then made light work of Mt Hera, dropping only one game to win 5 games 61 pts to 1 game 40 pts.
After a long break (waiting for an epic Keysborough Acacia v Carwatha contest to finish), the boys needed to beat Carwatha to win the title. After the completion of the singles, scores were 2 games each and things were tight, but after convincingly claiming both doubles games Dandenong ran out winners 4 games 59 pts to Carwatha 2 games 44 pts
The team of Isaaq K B08, Laviinnanthan P E08, Sayed M E08, & Bhavesh R E08 did a great job of remaining focussed and playing consistent Table Tennis all day to run out Champions.
Well done!
