Ecolinc Excursion

Year 12 Chemistry students went on an excursion to Ecolinc to conduct practical experiments on Organic Chemistry and Instrumentation. They conducted some interesting experiments in the laboratory and made some weird smelling esters :) They were also able to use the Infra-red spectrometer & HPLC machines at Ecolinc to identify functional groups and analyse the concentration of chemicals in Panadol and ibuprofen. It was a productive day overall for all our students where they learnt some applicative organic chemistry.
