Hakea House

My name is Zarbibi and it gives me great pleasure to continue working as Hakea 9's SRC representative to improve our House.

We have a lot of interesting things coming up this term in Hakea House. We will be hosting our annual student and teacher photography competition. Our main focus is giving everyone the opportunity to show their talents and skills and to celebrate these together. We also have a few more exciting things coming up this semester including some great charity events, so look out for those!

This term has been a busy one already! Our Year 7s have been doing the swimming program this term and have had a great turn out. They have been enthusiastic and engaged with the program and showed true Hakea Spirit. The Year 10s and 11s have all been thinking about their subject selections and pathways and have attended pathways meetings with HLT. The Year 9s have pathways meetings next week and Morrisby interviews later in term which we are looking forward to. 

Looking back to last term, Hakea were the Chorales Champions! I want to sincerely thank everyone who took part in it and made Hakea House come in first place, which was incredible to see. We are all very proud. 

The SRC team and our House Leadership Team have also been working on new ideas to raise money for the House charity. Let's try to make Term 3 enjoyable and unforgettable. Together, we can keep turning our House into a welcoming environment for all students.
