Congratulations to the following students

Hayley Newsham-West and Meg Brewer (Year 9), who have been selected in the 2024 Tasmanian State U15 Hockey team, with fellow SMC student, Grace Coad (Year 9) named as a train-on. The team will head to the Gold Coast in July. A fantastic achievement, well done!

Lucy Holeywell, Sophia Cook, Isabel Horden and Sofia Stacey (Year 7), who took part in the Devonport Cup over the long weekend. Along with their team, the Glenorchy Knights, the students walked away with the title of U14 Girls champions for the second year running. An amazing effort. Well done on representing the club, and SMC, with pride. 

Grok Learning's Web.Comp 2024

A group of Senior School students have cracked the code, achieving high scores in Grok Learning's Web.Comp 2024 – a coding competition which teaches budding coders how to design their own websites. 

 

Hazel Arora (Year 10), Charlotte Hordern, Mia Morrisby (Year 9) and Jean Beerworth (Year 7) competed for five weeks alongside more than 6,000 students from across Australia and the world, using code to design websites of increasing sophistication and complexity.
