We celebrated our school's patron saint feast day on Friday 11th October, commencing the day with a St Therese's Feast Day Liturgy led by the Mini Vinnies. Thanks to those family members who joined us in the liturgical celebration.
The celebration of St Therese's Feast is an opportunity for our school community to reflect upon the great values and attributes of our patron saint. The history behind her life and beatification as well as her family, is truly inspiring. St Therese of Lisieux is the only saint to have both parents beatified as saints as well - Louis and Zélie Martin. St Therese also had four out of her five sisters become nuns of the Carmelite Order just as she did. What a truly faith-filled family.
Throughout the day, our students continued to learn about our great saint and were involved in various activities throughout the day, including our school Colour Run.
Please enjoy some of the images from the feast day celebration.
October is the month of the Rosary. The Rosary remains a powerful prayer that continues to draw people closer to God and strengthen their spiritual lives. Whether praying for peace, for family, or for the Church, the Rosary is a symbol of hope and a channel of grace. As we dedicate October to the Holy Rosary, let us take time to reflect on its origins, its spiritual power, and the devotion of countless saints who have prayed it before us.
Throughout the course of the month, I invite students, staff and family members to join me in saying the Rosary in the school Chapel at 8:30a.m. An announcement will be made in the mornings when this is occurring. I hope you can join us.
God bless and stay courageous.
