Prep excursion to CERES
On Friday the 6th of September, the Preps had an incredible day at CERES Community Environment Park, immersed in the Farming For the Future Program. Students had the opportunity to explore and dig for minibeasts during a Soil Search game and discussed the importance of how earthworms help the garden grow. They learnt about different seeds, what they need to grow and planted their own silver beet with recyclable materials. Students also navigated their way through a huge veggie patch by following a map to discover the vegetables and fruits available at CERES and even had a chance to feed some chickens once they located them on the map!
