Explanation text: A nonfiction text that explains how something works

Text Structure: the way authors organsise information in a text. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Work with your child to write down facts that you know about how something works. For example you could choose the topic, 'how shadows are made'.
