Rainbow Tube Challenge

The last week weeks, the years 9s have been exploring acid and bases. 

Year 9s Ls took their exploration a teeny bit further to see if they could create a rainbow tube using universal indicator and an acid (vinegar) and the bases (sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate).

Universal indicator ranges from red (if solution is acid) to blue (if the solution is a base).

All the students trialled various methods, but Summer Patric and Athan Konstandakos were successful in creating the full range of colour rainbow tube. Well done!
