Paul Ackroyd

14 December 1963 – 20th August 2024

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Paul Ackroyd in August this year, after a very short battle with cancer. 

Paul worked at the school for over twenty years, beginning in the late 1990s and finishing in 2022. 

He was an education support staff member, working as a teacher aide, helping the Environment Team and he was our number one photocopier guy, always keeping the machines well stocked and working (you can not underestimate the importance of this role to teachers!) 

A number of current and ex BSC teachers attended his funeral. He was an unassuming, kind-hearted and endlessly helpful man.
