SENIORS

 in the spotlight

Last Thursday, September 12th, the Seniors and Middle students went on an excursion to Scienceworks. The students eagerly arrived at school that morning, excited for the day ahead. The beginning of our excursion started in the Planetarium. Lying back and gazing at the night sky, we all learnt some interesting facts about our Solar System and spotted some very interesting planets that exist closer than you think!

After this, we participated in a Light, Sound and Energy show. A favourite among many of our students. In a game-style format, we participated in a round of exciting questions that tested our knowledge of stored and kinetic energy. We even got to witness a pretty epic light show.

After a delicious lunch, we made our way to the general viewing area. Here, the students tested their physical abilities, engaging in challenges involving balance, speed, mobility and strength. We also managed to pop up the ‘Perceptions’ exhibition, where the students examined black holes, time travel and light installations.

We would like to sincerely thank all our parent helpers who volunteered their time to support students and staff on this busy day. It ensured the day ran smoothly and all children had a great time.

We look forward to more exciting excursions in Term 4. For now, we hope all our families have a well-deserved, restful break!
