This year, Thursday 12th September was R U OK? Day. Although the date has passed it is an important reminder to check in on those around us.

 

R U OK is a national suicide prevention charity and registered public health promotion that encourages people to stay connected and have conversation that can help others through difficult times. It aims to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life. It emphasises the idea that you don’t need to be an expert to reach out, you just need to be a good friend and listener.
