Westernport Writers Festival...

3/4  students were invited to participate in the Western Port Writes school project.

Students were to write about an aspect of Western Port Bay.

The St Joseph’s students wrote about the importance of Western Port Bay to the Migratory birds who use the Bay to feed and rest during their migratory journey from the northern hemisphere: the students wrote their pieces from the point of view of the birds! The students added a stunning collage art piece to their stories. 

All students who participated in the festival had their work displayed over the weekend during the festival. Grace and Elliott read their pieces at the opening of the festival.

Well done to all the students who participated, your writing pieces reflected your vast knowledge of the importance of Western Port Bay in an entertaining and informative way.
