YEAR 5
FROM THE CLASSROOM
This week, students have been busy consolidating their learning across all curriculum areas.
In Mathematics, they revised key concepts covered throughout the term, including place value, fractions, perimeter and area, 3D shapes, transformations, and measurement.
In Writing, students finalised and published their recounts, applying the writing tools and strategies they have developed this term.
In Inquiry, students completed their Media Projects on a chosen Notable Australian and confidently presented their learning to the class.
Throughout our afternoon circle times, we have continued to focus on respect as we know how important this is in our community. It has been lovely to have these conversations with our students and hear all of the amazing things they have been seeing and hearing both out in the yard
and in our classrooms.
As we come to the end of another successful term, we would like to thank all of our students for their hard work, perseverance, and enthusiasm for learning.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to parents and carers for your ongoing support throughout the term. We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to welcoming students back refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning.

Term 3 begins Monday 13th July. We look forward to seeing everyone at 8.35am.
Tuesday 14th July 2.00pm - The whole school will assemble for a Smoking Ceremony on the basketball courts.
Wednesday 22nd July - Student Led Conferences 2.00pm to 6.30pm follow Compass for booking instructions.
