Year 7 & 8
Head of Year, Mr Thomas Dempers
For our Year 7 students, this has been a busy and eventful introduction to high school. New routines, different teachers, moving between classrooms, managing belongings and building new friendships can all take time to adjust to. They have handled this transition amazingly, and it has been wonderful to see them grow in confidence, independence and resilience throughout the semester.

Our Year 8 students have also had a positive semester and have found their stride. Many have shown increased maturity, stronger organisation and a more settled approach to school life. It has been encouraging to see them doing good things across the School through their learning, friendships, co-curricular involvement and positive contributions to the year group.
As reports are received, I encourage students to reflect with a growth mindset. What habits helped them thrive? What changes could help them start Semester Two stronger?
This semester, we are also proud to recognise students who have received three or more commendations for their continued great effort, positive character and commitment to our school values. These commendations celebrate qualities such as outstanding work, kindness, leadership, service and respect, and these students should be very proud of their achievements.
Congratulations to the following students:
Year 7: Juliet Ball, Hugo Abbott-Cross, Elsa Chu, Lawrence Gillgren, Angus Hevron, Aaron Jayakumar, Oliver Massard, Emmett Morgan, Frankie Nelson, Tiah Osyka, Judith Vigier, Brendan Yew, Brax Walker, Teannah Sugden, Oliver Wilton, and Aiden Radford.

Year 8: Ava Anderson, Jensen Blomfield, Henry Bell, Tilly Feldman, Sabine Grant, Amara Henneveld, Elektra Louw, Archie Moore, Harper Pope, Evan Ruffles, Mason Shoobridge, Emme Tribbick-Coppini, Oscar Vis, and Charlotte Weir.

For students who have not received a merit certificate but have shown exceptional effort, commitment and work ethic, a message has been sent home to acknowledge their positive contribution.
Congratulations to all students who have worked hard, contributed positively and made the most of Semester One. Have a great holiday and I look forward to seeing you in Term Three.
