Year 10 News

Year 10 student Maida shared her thoughts on what the last semester of school has felt like for her.
Term 4 in Year 10 hit hard! We were bombarded with assessment notifications, and then, almost instantly, the assessments themselves. Half of them landed in the same week, and I didn’t know which one to start first.
On top of that, trying to manage school alongside other responsibilities and activities made everything feel even more overwhelming!
It makes me wonder if this is what Year 11 will feel like; exciting, but also like starting high school all over again. The content will be harder, there’ll be more of it, and the expectations will rise. Even though it feels intense, I’m looking forward to exploring subjects I actually chose myself.
I still remember my year adviser saying on the first day of Year 7, “This is the class of 2027!” It felt so far away then, but now it’s approaching, slowly but surely.
I’m really grateful for the support around me or I don’t know how I would have made it to the end of Year 10.
We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable festive season and can spend quality time with family and friends. We would like to thank both the families and carers of Year 10 for your support and look forward to working together over the next two years, as our students enter Stage 6.
