Junior Performing Arts

In Junior Performing Arts this week, Preps have been practising their rhythm knowledge using drums, tambourines and claves. They have also begun learning their song for the upcoming Christmas Assembly. 

Grade 1's have been been using the book 'The Little Blue Truck' as a basis for a rap song and instrumental patterns where they used parts of the book to create rhythm patterns on xylophones, marimbas and chime bars. 

Grade 2's learned the dance 'Chimes of Dunkirk' and then transferred those moves and rhythm patterns to bucket drums. 

The choir learned a new warmup this week which they have been enjoying! (Hopefully the video works!!)
