Year Two Team 

It’s been an exciting few weeks in Year 2! Students have had some wonderful opportunities to learn, create and connect.

A highlight was our Year 2 Sleepover at school! Students enjoyed an evening filled with games, laughter and teamwork before settling in for a night with their classmates. It was fantastic to see everyone showing responsibility, independence and care for one another.

Following the sleepover, students took part in an Arcade Game incursion, where they used their imagination and problem-solving skills to design and build their own arcade-style games. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that encouraged creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.

In the classroom, students have continued to strengthen their knowledge of letter–sound relationships and to explore schwa spelling patterns in words. In Mathematics, they’ve been applying their understanding of all four operations — addition, subtraction, multiplication and division — to solve problems and explain their thinking in different ways.

We are so proud of the growth and enthusiasm students continue to show in their learning, and look forward to an exciting finish to the year!
