Leadership Report

Grandparents Afternoon
We were delighted to host our very first Grandparents Afternoon at OPPS last week! It was wonderful to see so many grandparents visiting their grandchildren in our Learning Communities and spending quality time together.
A special thank you to all the grandparents who supported our Book Fair by purchasing a treat for their grandchild. Every sale earned OPPS credits with Scholastic, which will go towards new classroom resources. We’re excited to announce that a range of new texts will be arriving soon—just in time for the 2026 school year!
Specialist Showcase
Get ready to be amazed — our Specialist Showcase is happening next week!
Families are warmly invited to explore the incredible work our students have created across the year. From vibrant artwork to STEM innovations, sporting achievements, and performing arts highlights, there’s so much to celebrate!
You can visit the showcase in the Administration Building at the following times:
• Monday: until 4:00pm
• Tuesday: until 5:15pm (during Parent Teacher Interviews)
• Wednesday: until 7:40pm (during Parent Teacher Interviews)
• Thursday: until 4:00pm
Each specialist area will feature its own display, showcasing student creativity, effort, and growth throughout the year. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to see the passion and talent of our students on full display!
Parent Teacher Interviews
A reminder that bookings for Parent Teacher Interviews are now live on Compass. Families can make a booking via the Community section.
These interviews are a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and view samples of their work from across the semester.
We strongly encourage all families to book a time. If you need assistance, please contact the school office—our team will be happy to help.
Upcoming Curriculum Day
A reminder that Monday 17 November is a Student-Free Day at OPPS.
On this day, staff will be participating in professional learning focused on Writing Assessment.
Full-day care will be available through Kelly Club. Families requiring care are encouraged to book early so appropriate staffing can be arranged.
