Pilgrims of Hope
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
Amen
Jubilee Year 2025: Pilgrims of Hope:
The Holy Father has dedicated 2025 as a Jubilee Year, a very special event which happens every 25 years. The motto is ‘Pilgrims of Hope’, intending 2025 to be a year of hope for the world.
In Year 5 and 6, students have explored what it means to have ‘hope’ and why it is important to have a ‘hopeful attitude’.
Below are prayers created by our Year 5 & 6 students (based on St Francis’ ‘Prayer of Peace’). These prayers are shared during prayer times in the classroom as a daily inspiration for hope.
Term 1 Events to Note:
- Wednesday 5 March: Ash Wednesday Liturgy @ 2.45pm
- Friday 7 March: World Day of Prayer
- 16 - 23 March: Catholic Education Week
- Wednesday 19 March: Year 3 Retreat Day
- Thursday 20 March: Sacrament of Reconciliation from 4.30pm
- Friday 21 March: St Patrick’s Day Mass at Cathedral (Year 6 leaders)
- Friday 4 April: Holy Week Re-enactment @ 9.15am
