NPS 'ALWAYS ON' FEEDBACK PORTAL - Leave your feedback via this link
With thanks to the local geelong radio station, 96three FM, we have a number of BRAND NEW lunch boxes and lunch bags to share with our school community!
This was part of their 'Little boxes' program.
We have contacted a number of our families to come and choose a new lunch box / lunch bag for their children. However we still have lots of lunch boxes and bags to give out. If your child could do with a new lunchbox/bag, please come to the office to select one, or email the office to have one sent home with your child/ren.
newtown.ps@education.vic.gov.au - First in best dressed!
We have unfortunately been notified of a small number of cases of Headlice across the school in the past couple of weeks.
Please be vigilant in checking your child's hair (at least weekly) and, if lice or eggs are detected, treat prior to returning to school. All individual reported cases of headlice are treated confidentially, with the affected child's learning area notified via compass.
Please visit www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au and search for “head lice (nits)” for advice on finding, treating and preventing head lice.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Tobyn Murray, the newst member of our Education Support (ES) team.Tobyn has been working mostly in our SLA this term supporting a number of students:
Hi my name is Tobyn Murray and I'm currently an Educational Support staff mem at Newtown Primary School as a first year employee.
Little bit about me, I love my sports, played most growing up but now have a focus on football as I'm currently a contracted player at Geelong Cats VFL. Outside of footy I love to spend time with friends whether we are spending down time together or out doing activities! I also love spending time with family as I moved away from home to follow my dreams and chase opportunities! In the future I plan to study at university, either Teaching or following in my brother’s footsteps doing accounting/financial planning.
So far at Newtown Primary I have enjoyed building relationships with staff and students and really valued my time in an environment that encourages people to not only learn everyday but become the best version of themselves!
