WELLBEING TEAM

Message from the Wellbeing
In Term 2, all students in government schools from year 3 to 12 are participating in the NSW Public Schools Student Survey. The survey gives students the chance to share their thoughts and feelings about life at school, including questions about their engagement, learning experiences and wellbeing at school. Further information about the survey is available at https://education.nsw.gov.au/npss
Hearing directly from our students will help us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made to our school. The survey is confidential, takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and will be conducted online during school hours.
Participation is voluntary. If you prefer your child not to participate, please complete the opt-out consent form and return it to the school. Access translated versions of the opt-out form.
We thank you for your support in having all our students participate and provide us with their insights into their schooling experience.
We invite parents to work with us to support excellent rates of attendance. Research tells us that students with attendance below 90% are educationally at risk. With our school community, we are aiming for each of our students to set a goal of 95% attendance. In weeks 1 & 2 of term 2, 399 students had perfect attendance! The winner of our fortnightly Attendance Wheel and the lucky recipient of a $20 voucher was Shayma in Year 8 who also gained 10 points for Franklin House.

The Wellbeing Team is here to help our students reach their potential and be somebody. Students learn best when families and schools work in partnership to support their growth and development. Please reach out to your Student Advisor if there is any information or concerns that may impact your daughter’s learning and wellbeing. Be assured that information is treated sensitively and with respect to the privacy of our students.
