Navigating the final school year: Insights from SchoolTV

In the "Surviving Final Year" edition of SchoolTV, Aberfoyle Park High School students and families are offered valuable insights to help navigate the challenges of the final year of secondary school.

This pivotal year requires significant effort and commitment, as students balance study and life amidst emerging personalities, complex relationships, and academic pressures.

Parents are encouraged to maintain open communication with their children, teachers, and other parents to support their child's mental and physical wellbeing, which is crucial for success. Recognising that some students may require more support than others, being attentive to their needs is essential.

By working together, we can ensure our students have the support they need to thrive in their final year.

For practical advice and support, families can explore the Surviving Final Year edition of SchoolTV. If there are any concerns, contacting the school’s wellbeing team or seeking professional help is recommended.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week: embracing inclusion in our school community

Next week, from 17-23 March 2025, we celebrate Neurodiversity Celebration Week. This important event highlights the value of recognising and respecting neurological differences as we do with all other human variations.

We invite our community to join the conversation and support neurodivergent individuals by promoting awareness and understanding. By doing so, we can create a more inclusive environment for everyone.

More information can be found here:  Suggested Activities | Neurodiversity Celebration Week.
