Year 10 students explore the art of cyanotypes in photography
Year 10 photography students have been immersing themselves in the world of wet and chemical photography through the process of 'cyanotypes'. This technique involves the use of light-sensitive chemicals that develop into a striking blue hue when exposed to sunlight.
During the class, students took advantage of the high UV ratings, allowing for swift exposure times and opportunities for creative experimentation. They explored various combinations of solid and transparent objects, even crafting their own negatives using overhead transparency sheets.
This hands-on experience has not only enhanced their understanding of photographic processes but also encouraged them to experiment and innovate. The students' work reflects their growing skills and creativity in this unique art form.

Year 8 HASS students explore geomorphic processes
Our year 8 HASS students have been delving into the fascinating world of geomorphic processes and their significant role in shaping the diverse landforms we observe on Earth's surface. This exploration includes studying mountains, volcanic formations, and caves.
To showcase their understanding, students have engaged in a variety of creative projects across different classes. Among these projects are dioramas that illustrate a landform on one side, while the reverse features a detailed report complete with diagrams explaining its formation process.
These projects not only highlight the students' grasp of geomorphic concepts but also their creativity and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. We are proud of their efforts and look forward to seeing more of their innovative work in the future
