Using your School Savings Bonus & CSEF

Using Your School Savings Bonus at FPS
At FPS, the School Savings Bonus (SSB) can be used in two ways:
- School uniform purchase (at APlus Schoolwear)
- For school activities – camps, excursions, incursions
Using Your SSB for Activities
To help families apply their bonus towards school activities, we have changed the way families consent and pay for events in Compass. Going forward, when asked to consent and pay for an event, families have the choice:
- Consent for an event without making payment. If this option is selected, we will apply your child’s SSB towards the event.
- Consent and pay using your card, as you normally would.
Please remember:
- If you do not want your child to attend a particular event, please ‘decline’ it.
- Any SSB not allocated by 30 June by parents in the DET portal will automatically come to FPS and sit in your child’s account for future use towards school events.
- For Year 4 and 5 families – if you want to keep your SSB for payment towards your child's school camp, please pay for each excursion/incursion as it arises.
- Year 6 families – almost all families have allocated payment towards Camp Jungai, so you will need to pay for events as they arise.
Please reach out to the school office if you have questions.
Camps, Sports & Excursions Fund (CSEF)
The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) provides payments for eligible students to attend activities including school camps, swimming and sporting programs, and excursions and incursions. The payment amount for 2025 is $154 for primary school students.
To be eligible to apply for this financial assistance, families need to hold a valid means-tested concession card or be temporary foster parents. A special consideration category also exists.
For more information, refer to the CSEF Flyer. Submit CSEF applications to the main school office by 4 July 2025.
