Year 6s at The Ranch

The Year 6 students had a wonderful time on camp at The Ranch on the Mornington Peninsula this week. Camp was a great opportunity for all the children to build confidence and resilience whilst participating in a range of amazing outdoor activities, including the Giant Swing, Mountain Boarding, Rock Climbing and Horse Riding. Another highlight of camp was an incredible night walk under the stars on the first evening. It has been fantastic to witness the children further developing and strengthening relationships with their peers in an environment outside of the regular classroom.

We would like to thank the incredible parent helpers Jake, Louise, Charmian, Nicky, Beatrice and David for giving up their time to come along and assist in making this year's camp a terrific experience for all attendees.

Working with the new Foundation students

It was great to see the Year 6s getting to know some of VPS's brand new Foundation students earlier this week. The children got together for some reading, colouring and friendly 'getting to know you' chats. The activity took place as an introduction to our 2025 Buddy program, where Year 6 students will soon be paired with their Foundation 'buddy' for the year. We are looking forward to our next activity with the Foundation students taking place during next week's Harmony Day.
