Wow, end of Week 7! How did that already happen! The Grade 2s have been working really hard and applying themselves to their learning! We can't believe that it's nearly end of Term 1. With only a few weeks left, we have a lot of fun and amazing things planned! Have a great weekend!
Important Dates:
On Thursday 20th March 2025 we will be celebrating Harmony Day. On this day, we invite students to dress in clothes from either their own, or another culture. They might choose to wear orange, which is the colour chosen to represent Harmony Week.
Whilst we won’t be sharing food, students will also have the opportunity to bring some food to school in their lunchbox from their culture. Students will be given the opportunity to share details of the cuisine they brought in and answer any questions their peers may have. Students might also like to include a recipe to share with their class.
We are so excited to announce that we are holding our annual Colour Run this term on Friday March 21. This event has been run for the past couple of years and has become a much-loved part of the school calendar. As well as being a fabulous day of colour and fun for students and staff, it is our major fundraiser for the year.
This year, we are hoping to raise funds to install a semi-permanent space outside the Stadium to be used as a 'sensory pod'. We envisage this being a small room/class space to be used by students requiring additional support and intervention, allied health sessions and time with the Learning Inclusion and Support Team. As a school funded project, we predict that this will cost around $50,000 and we would love to be able to use some school raised funds to make it happen.
Details of how you can get involved in fundraising are below!
