Welcome to term 2, The PC hopes everyone had a lovely break. The PC has been hard at work organising events for this term, which include the Mother’s Day breakfast and Stalls and the CJC Trivia night. 

Second Hand uniform Shop: The uniform shop will be open on Wednesday 29th April from 9am. If you have CJC uniforms that your child\ren have grown out of and are in good condition, please consider donating them to the uniform shop. The donation box is at the bottom of the eastern stairs in the front building.

Mother’s Day Breakfast: We look forward to bringing you the Mother’s Day breakfast and stalls on May 8th. The Breakfast will be held in the SLC before school from 8am, this is a ticketed event. Tickets will not be available at the door. Tickets will be on sale soon, if you would like to help on the morning, please go to volunteersignup.org/3QMRM.

Mother’s Day stalls: The Mother’s Day stalls will run throughout the day at school, each student will have the opportunity to purchase something for their mother, grandmother or other special person in their life. If you are wanting to volunteer at the Mother’s Day stalls, please go to - https://volunteersignup.org/DA3RF to sign up. 

SAVE THE DATE: The Parents Battle of the Bands is ON! It will be held at The Prince Bandroom, with a total of 5 local primary schools. 

Our school’s Parents Band, The Apparents, will be performing on: Thursday, 4th June (doors at 7pm). All funds raised from ticket sales go straight back to supporting the performing arts and music programs of all participating schools. Please note: proceeds are shared based on the number of tickets each school sells. The more tickets our community buys, the more our students benefit! It’s a legendary night of live music, laughs, and top-notch entertainment (just ask anyone who’s been before).  Plus, it’s a great way to connect with families across different school communities.Follow PBOB on Instagram and Facebook at @parents_battle_of_the_bands to catch the vibe. Tickets: 2026 Battle Tickets - select Southside 2 

SAVE THE DATE: The CJC trivia night is back again on Saturday 13th June – start getting your teams of 10 ready! There will be games, prizes, fun, laughter and much more! You can buy an individual, couple or small groups of tickets or a table of 10. For those buying smaller groups, the event organisers will group you together onto tables of 10. BYO a plate of food for your table, drinks are at bar prices. This is a ticketed event, tickets will be on sale soon. 

Friday Treats: Pain au chocolat ($4.50) will be on sale each Friday during term 2. The class roster will be available soon. Please consider volunteering for a short time (approx 3.15-3.45) when it is your classes turn.

CJC Families Facebook Group: The CJC Families facebook page has had a clean-up, apologies if you were accidently removed. If you would like to join or re-join, please go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/CJCParents, you must answer all the questions to join. This is a private group for current CJC families only. 

Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: https://service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children
