Grade 5 & 6 Electronic Music Incursion
This week, students in Grades 5 and 6 were treated to an Electronic Music workshop in the Music Room. The Roland ASPIRE Project is an initiative launched by Roland and Musical Futures International to bring hands-on electronic music education to classrooms in Australia and Asia, fostering creativity and confidence in students.
Jason from Musical Futures International showed us how to use the T8 Drum Machine so we could build a drum sequence, and experiment with different sounds and improvised beats.
“Today was fun because we got to learn how to make new sounds using devices we’ve never used before.” Tony (5A)
“I think it was really fun. We made a really cool drum pattern by changing the dials.” Eira (6C)
