SWPBS Update - Term 3 is off to a Positive Start!

The School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) curriculum team is excited to share the great progress being made across the school this term. Classes have kicked off Term 3 with enthusiasm, actively engaging in the creation of their new classroom behaviour matrixes. These are co-constructed with the students and reflect our school’s core values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, and have provided students with a clear and shared understanding of what these values look like in everyday learning.

As part of our SWPBS approach, students continue to be recognised and rewarded for demonstrating positive behaviours aligned with the 3 R’s. Throughout the term, they’ve been eagerly collecting their hard-earned SWPBS tokens, which they can trade in for prizes at the SWPBS Shop in the STA room, open every Tuesday and Thursday during recess. Alongside the shop rewards, students can also access special classroom privileges, making the token system both meaningful and motivating.

This initiative is a vital part of our whole-school approach to building a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment. By celebrating positive behaviour and offering consistent encouragement, students are not only developing lifelong social skills, but also modelling these expectations to their peers. The feedback from both students and staff has been overwhelmingly positive, and the ripple effect across the wider school community is clear to see.

Well done to all students and staff for embracing the SWPBS program so enthusiastically, let’s keep the momentum going!
