Year 7 2026 Welcome packs!

Students starting Year 7 in 2026 recently received their 'Welcome Packs'. The packs included some words of encouragement from our students, a letter from our Principal, Mr Raven, and a few little treats! As the students commence their final semester of primary school, the packs are a reminder that they are already a valued part of our St Brigid’s College community.

If you are considering enrolment for 2026 or future years, we warmly invite you to join us for a College tour. Contact the Front Office on (03) 5382 3545 to arrange a time that suits your family.

Year 5/6 Experience Day

We are excited to invite Grade 5 and 6 students from all primary schools to our Experience Day on Tuesday 14th October!

This special day is designed to give students a taste of our College environment, meet some of our dedicated staff, and connect with other students. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience a day in secondary school and build friendships and confidence.

Register here: https://forms.gle/iruGotPxPTMGgF3e6

Please note, students from SMJ Horsham, St Patrick's School Nhill and OLHC Murtoa will be attending the day with their primary school and do not need to register. You will receive further details from your school.

School Production 2026!

We are thrilled to share that our 2026 College Production is... Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Students will be stepping into the world of Charlie Bucket and Willy Wonka, taking to the Horsham Town Hall stage in July, 2026!

More details about auditions, roles and expectations will be provided to students in the coming weeks.

Before announcing our 2026 Production, we invited our students and students from SMJ Horsham to enter a guess of what they think the show might be! The prize up for grabs was a Wonka Bar!

Congratulations to College Captain, Poppy Peters, who was the only student to guess correctly, and to Jorja L, Nick and Sammy, who were the random lucky winners!

This week we held an information session for students to find out more about the production and audition process. It was awesome to see so many students show their interest in participating! Any students who are interested but missed the session can speak to Mrs Thomas. Stay tuned for more details as auditions approach!

Year 10 Pathways Immersion Camp

Recently, St Brigid's College Year 10 students participated in a Pathways Immersion Camp to Warrnambool. The purpose of the camp was to expose students to 'what else is out there' as they explored careers and industries. The students were given the opportunity to find out more about the different pathway options, including a tour of SouthWest TAFE and Deakin University Warrnambool Campus. Students also attended an industry tour at South West Healthcare and Bega Cheese.

This opportunity was made possible through the support of and in partnership with the Wimmera Southern Mallee LLEN, SouthWest TAFE, Deakin University and the South West LLEN.

Leadership On the Court

Recently, five of our students volunteered their time to support the SMJ Horsham Grade 5 and 6 Hoop Time Competition. Hannah P, Tayla H, and Halle A took on coaching roles, while Laura B and Harper K assisted with scoring duties. This was a valuable opportunity for our students to develop their coaching and leadership skills, share their knowledge of the game, and learn how to effectively communicate with and instruct younger players. They are to be commended for their professionalism and commitment, seamlessly transitioning between games and supporting the primary students throughout the day.

A highlight of the tournament was the success of the girls' team, who won all their matches, including the grand final. They will now progress to the next stage of the competition in Hamilton. This victory was particularly special for Steph P, who celebrated her first grand final win after previously being on the losing end twelve times. It was a memorable moment made even more meaningful by having her sister, Hannah, as coach. The boys' team also performed exceptionally well, playing competitive and closely contested games throughout the day, showing great resilience and sportsmanship.
