Visual Arts - Celebrating "My Heritage"

This semester, our Visual Arts program has explored the theme My Heritage – Celebrating Culture. Students have embraced their roots through creative expression across year multiple year levels.
Our talented Year 8 artists explored identity through the natural world, each selecting a bird native to their cultural heritage to explore the medium acrylic on board.
Meanwhile, our Year 10 Visual Arts students delved deep into portraiture. Drawing from traditional colours, dress, and symbolism, they created powerful self-representations that honour their unique cultural stories. Using oil paint, they brought these portraits to life with rich textures and heartfelt detail.
These works showcase not only technical skill but a deep appreciation for the cultures that shape us. We can’t wait to share these meaningful pieces with you when they complete. Stay tuned for the upcoming Collage Art Exhibition.
