Dear Parents and Carers
Across the upcoming two weeks we look forward to a broad range of events which remind us of the diverse skills and talents that exist in our community and that there are as many measures of success as there are students in our school. Coming up we have; the Year 3 and 4 Speakers’ Challenge Final, the Year 5 Encounter, our Secondary School House Athletics, Fame Jr – the Musical and all the fun and excitement of Book Week. There is certainly plenty happening, and many ways for students, staff, parents and friends to be engaged and connected. I look forward to seeing our young people involved, having fun, challenging themselves and meeting success in ways that showcase their best selves and bring them joy.
School Communications Guide
I would like to thank Community Engagement and Marketing for their excellent work in producing the School Communication Guide for Families. This guide is a valuable resource for both new and current families, outlining the various platforms we use to stay connected, including SEQTA, Paperly, the JWACS website, and more. Clear and effective communication underpins the strong relationships between the School and our families, which is so vital in supporting student success. This guide ensures families can confidently navigate school updates and find helpful information regarding our community. I recommend this wonderful resource to you, which can be accessed at Parent Information Handbooks, via the Parents tab on the JWACS website, or through the SEQTA splash page.
Parents and Friends Contributions
I am very grateful for all that our wonderful P&F contributes- through their support of school initiatives, positive feedback, hosting of significant school events and many ways they strengthen our sense of community. At their last meeting, the P&F generously committed to supporting a new stage for the BDISC, which will dramatically enhance significant school events in our growing community. The P&F, in their work, collaboration and contribution, embody the idea that in working together we are able to achieve so much more than we can alone.
Uniform Store
Thank you to all families who took the time to complete the recent JWACS Uniform Survey. We appreciate your thoughtful and constructive feedback. The survey is now closed and we are currently working through the responses in collaboration with our uniform provider, Tara Uniforms. Your input plays an important role in helping us continuously improve both the quality of our uniform items and the service experience for our community. We look forward to sharing key outcomes with you in the weeks ahead.
Enjoy this edition of Wollaston’s Wrap and all that this exciting term has to offer.
With best wishes
