From the Art Room
ART SMOCKS
Please ensure your child has a NAMED smock for art lessons. Art smocks remain in a basket in each classroom and brought to the art room each week for their lesson. If your child does not have an art smock, they can be purchased via Primary School Wear. https://www.psw.com.au/schools/beaumaris-primary-school.html
Alternatively, art smocks can also be purchased from Kmart, Target, Big W, any craft store… Or even an old oversized shirt from home is fine too!
Seaside District Tennis Tournament
SEASIDE DISTRICT
TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Pathway to SSV (School Sport Victoria)
Tuesday 19th March 2024
February, 2024
Dear Parents,
Students in the Seaside District are eligible to compete in the School Sport Victoria Tennis Championship (Primary). The district is able to send 2 players in the girl’s competition and 2 players in the open competition. This is not a part of the interschool Hotshots Tennis competition but a singles event for players familiar with full court tennis.
Selection will be determined through a District Tennis Tournament held at the Royal Avenue Tennis Courts, Sandringham on Tuesday 19th March.
The competition will be a knockout tournament with the last 2 players being selected to represent the district. Players knocked out in the early rounds will have the opportunity to play further games with other knocked out players and all players have the choice to return to school at the completion of their game or remain to watch the final match.
Students in years 5 and 6 that would like to take part in the District tournament need to collect an application form from the office. The form requires details about their playing history and club competition level. These forms are due Friday 8th March.
