PRAYER
Almighty and ever living God,
you invite us deeper into your world,
your people, your Lent.
May this time be one of outward focus;
seeking you in those we often ignore.
Help us live a Lent focused on freedom,
generosity, and encounter.
Give us hearts hungry to serve you
and those who need what we have to give.
Amen
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Friends,
It was the perfect setting for our family picnic last Thursday. We were certainly blessed with beautiful weather, great company and an opportunity to catch up with old friends and forge new friendships.
Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday
We had many parent helpers here on Tuesday to support our students in making pancakes for Shove Tuesday. The support provided was appreciated by everyone, students and staff, not just because of the pancakes but the community spirit that was evident throughout the morning. Thank you to Ashley and Lindsay M for coordinating and organising the event.
We recognise Shrove Tuesday as the preparation for the commencement of Lent. We are reminded that Lent is a time for abstinence, almsgiving and fasting. It was with great gratitude that all students and staff were able to attend the parish Mass at 9.00am on Ash Wednesday. As we commence our Lenten journey we pray that we will encounter, and become closer to Christ.
Parent Information Night – Cyber Safety
Bookings can still be made for the information session tonight. The 90-minute session, ‘Keeping Children Safe in a Digital World’ co-presented by Marty McGauran (educator) and Carley McGauran (psychologist) will be presented online on Thursday 22 February at 7.00pm.
Student Learning Conferences
Student Learning Conferences will be held on Tuesday 5 March from 2.00pm - 8.00 pm. These are an opportunity for you to meet with your child/ren’s classroom teacher to discuss their progress and other matters pertinent to their learning and wellbeing. You will be able to book your interview time using PAM from next week.
