Wellbeing

Our Year 1 and 2 children have been engaging in many discussions about what our school values mean. We have been practising showing respect, resilience, tolerance and personal best, both in the classroom and playground.
Our school is currently working towards the first whole school reward for the year, which children can achieve by being respectful, safe and responsible learners. We have been participating in explicit lessons around these values, so all children are aware of school expectations.
This Term, we will be beginning our Respectful Relationships topics of Emotional Literacy and Personal Strengths.
We participate in weekly mindfulness sessions, which include the use of Smiling Mind, Zen Den, yoga and mindfulness colouring. Our children have learnt about the importance of having both a healthy mind and body.
Speaking of healthy bodies, we are loving the contents of some of the lunch boxes. Wonderful fresh fruit and veggies and healthy food for lunch and snacks, reusable snaplock bags for snacks rather than prepackaged snacks is a great way to reduce rubbish and teach sustainability. Keep up the great work!
