Events Ahead

Winter Solstice Celebration THIS FRIDAY 20 June 3.30-5:30 PM 

Our annual winter solstice celebration is this Friday and we would love some help! 

• Bring any jars and tissue paper to the office ready for people to decorate and make lanterns 
• Add your name to the volunteer sheet here if you can help out on the day or make mulled wine prior to the event. Shifts are not too long and allow people to help out as well as enjoy the event. 
• Check the performance schedule in the volunteer list to check when your child may be performing, and pop your name down at a different time so you can see your child perform. 

We’re looking forward to damper and marshmallows roasted over the fire, alcohol-free mulled wine, gourmet hot chocolates, student performances, a lantern parade, and an acknowledgement of country. The community events team can’t run this kind of event without extra volunteers, so please put your name down to help so we can continue to build our community in this way. 

Get ready for Trivia! 

It’s official - the theme for the trivia night this year is “Winter Wonderland”. Get out your woolies, gather your table, and look out for tickets on sale soon! Tables will be in teams of 10, so get your friends together or be ready to join an open table and meet some new folk!

We would like to invite anyone who can make it to have a final coffee at Sprout on Friday 4th July to celebrate the amazing Kris, who has contributed so much to the community spirit and culture of BNWPS.

All volunteers at the school need a valid Working With Children’s Check - click this link to apply if you don’t have one. It’s fairly straightforward and free for volunteers.
