Pathways

Term 2 saw the reintroduction of the Careers and Pathways newsletter, informing all students what universities and providers are offering students in the months to come, as well as helpful hints and tips to fully prepare for rigors of Year 10 and the VCE. It also saw an increase in pathways based discussions from students, who are actively thinking about their next steps, whether it be what subjects to pick for their VCE program in 2026 or where they will go once they complete their schooling journey. The Pathways office has been a hive of activity with lots of interesting and insightful conversations had.

With this in mind, looking to term 3, will see a huge number of events for each year level prop up that each year level should have on their radar.

Careers Day/Expo

On Tuesday 29th of July, the annual HSSC Careers Expo/Day will occur, with the entire day dedicated to careers and pathways. Each year level will get the opportunity to walk through the expo space (with parents invited to their students designated year level time) and have meaningful conversations with providers about what their future looks like and what the providers have to offer. This will also be a time for all students to work through dedicated sessions custom made to fit their year level. From resumes to CAP plans, to domain presentations, there will be something for everyone on the day.
