Year 12 Student Manager's Report

Every day matters

Congratulations, Year 12s, on successfully completing Term 2! A huge well done to all students for undertaking and completing your first external assessment—the General Achievement Test (GAT). This marks a major milestone in your VCE journey, and you should be proud of your efforts.

You’ve also now completed Unit 3, and with that, there’s just one final unit to go—Unit 4, the last chapter of your secondary schooling journey. Term 4 is a short but important one: only 9 weeks long, with 7 weeks of learning before your internal exams begin. Every week counts, so stay focused, stay organised, and make the most of the time remaining.

Looking ahead, we have a number of exciting and meaningful events coming up:

  • Awards Presentation: To celebrate the dedication and outstanding efforts displayed throughout Unit 3, we will be holding our Awards Presentation during Period 5 on the second day back from holidays (Tuesday 22nd July). We look forward to recognising the achievements of our amazing students.
  • Valedictory and Celebration Day: Planning is underway for our end-of-year celebrations, including Valedictory Evening and Celebration Day. A big thank you to the students who have already joined the Valedictory and Celebration Day Committee. If you'd like to be involved, please reach out to Ben, your Year 12 Student Manager—your input is valuable!
  • Pathways and Careers Planning: As we approach the end of Year 12, it's also time to start preparing for life after school. We have some key pathway events coming up, including the Careers Expo and individual Pathway Meetings to help support your applications for university, TAFE, or other post-secondary options. Make sure you attend and engage in these opportunities—they are an essential part of your transition planning.

Finally, a gentle reminder to find a healthy balance between rest and study over the break. These holidays are a great chance to recharge, reflect, and prepare for the final term ahead. You’re almost there—keep going!

We are incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished so far and are excited to see you finish the year strong.
