Year 10 Student Managers' Report

Every day matters

As we wrap up Term 2, we want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate our incredible Year 10 students for completing their first semester of senior secondary schooling. What an outstanding achievement!

The past six months have been full of learning, growth, and challenges. From settling into the expectations of senior schooling, to preparing for and completing your very first set of exams. The effort and resilience you have shown throughout Semester 1 has not gone unnoticed. Exams can be daunting, but you approached them with maturity and determination. We are so proud of the way you represented yourselves and how you represented the schools values. Well done!

Now we are looking ahead to Semester 2. You will all be new subjects for the first time. This is a chance to dive into different learning areas, build on your interests, and possibly discover a passion you didn’t know you had. Embrace the fresh start, stay curious, and make everyday matter.

Term 3 is all about your future. This is the term where you’ll begin planning your pathways for 2026 and beyond. You will be choosing subjects and programs that align with your interests, skills, and long-term goals. Whether you’re aiming for VCE or VCE VM, this is your opportunity to start shaping the journey ahead.

There will be lots of information coming your way to help guide you through the subject selection process. It’s absolutely essential that you:

  • Pay close attention to the student bulletins and Compass posts: These will include key dates, information sessions and links to important resources.
  • Ask questions: Your teachers, Student Managers and Pathways Team are all here to support you.
  • Start conversations at home: Talk to your family about your interests and goals to help make informed decisions.

To our Year 10s, we’re incredibly proud of you. You've made a strong start to your senior years, and Semester 2 is your time to keep building on everything you've achieved.

We can’t wait to see what the second half of the year brings.
