Engagement Update – Celebrating Student Milestones and Looking Ahead

As Term 2 draws to a close, I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible effort shown by our students over the past few weeks.

Congratulations to our Year 10 students for completing their very first exam period. It was a challenging new experience, in which they demonstrated great resilience and perseverance throughout. These are essential skills that will continue to serve them well as they move through their senior years. Our Year 11 students have now completed their Unit 1 exams and are transitioning into their Unit 2 subjects, which commence at the start of Term 3. Similarly, Year 10 students will begin their new Semester 2 subjects from day one of Term 3.

This term also saw students undertaking the General Achievement Test (GAT) on Monday 17th June (T2 W9). All students enrolled in a Unit 3/4 subject completed this important assessment, which contributes to their final VCE results and ensures the integrity of our assessment processes. Our Year 12 students have now officially begun their Unit 4 studies. The end of their VCE journey is in sight, with internal exams scheduled for Weeks 8 and 9 of Term 3—more details about these will be provided early next term.

We have also released information about this year’s Valedictory Dinner, which will take place on Friday 21st November (T4 W7). Families can find this information via Compass, and we encourage early planning to ensure everyone can attend this significant milestone event.

Looking ahead, the VCE English Exam—the first of the final external assessments—will be held on Tuesday 28th October 2025 (T4 W4), as per the official VCAA examination timetable.

In Term 3 we’re excited to start the term off with our awards assemblies, to recognise the efforts and achievements of our students. And soon after will offer students further engagement opportunities designed to support future planning and goal setting, including:

  • Careers Day on Tuesday 29th July (T3 W2)
  • Parent Information Sessions for 9-10 (T3 W4) and 10- 11 (T3 W3)
  • Course Counselling for each year level

Our Year 11 cohort will also partake in our annual Year 11 University Experience Day on Friday 5th September (T3 W7).

Wishing all students and families a restful and well-deserved break. We look forward to an energised and productive Term 3.
