Foundation

This fortnight's art lessons were inspired by the Foundation students who are always exploring nature around them.

They are self directed and they work together to make and design constantly.

In the art lessons, Foundation made cardboard flowers which they coloured and cut out. Most of the art flowers were taken home.

Student voice:  ‘Can we make another one next week’.

‘It was fun’‘I love my flower’

‘Can I give mine to my mum?’   ‘Can we do this again’

Year 4

When we learned how to draw illusions, it was so cool ! We used lines and shading, to make our pictures look real.

The students were excited to use the charcoal and progresso tools to make their illusions of people. Secondly they were very excited about how good their own art came out.

The most exciting part was drawing people that actually looked real.

Year 5 & 6

Creating illusion through tone

The students were excited to use the charcoal and progresso tools to make their illusions of people. Secondly they were very excited about how good their own art came out.

The most exciting part was drawing people that actually looked real.

At first, it was a bit tricky, but when we practiced, we could see the 3D shapes and the way the shadows made everything look real.

I loved how my friends would say, "Wow! That looks like a real person!" It made me feel super proud. It was like being a real artist who can make drawings come alive!

Medium: Charcoal, Progresso pencils, and drawing tools.‘I think its fun because it made me feel good’ Moeen
