To support student wellbeing during our break times we have implemented a range of new break time clubs that students can participate in throughout the week.
Recess and Lunch Clubs
Making Break Times Fun and Social!
As we enter the colder months, students have been loving having our recess and lunch break clubs in Room 36 open to enjoy during both breaks each day. Supervised by our Wellbeing and Education Support staff, this room offers a fun, inclusive environment with a variety of engaging activities and games for all interests.
Whether it’s a quiet place to unwind or a spot to connect with friends over a shared game, the room is always buzzing with happy, engaged students.
Students choose from activities such as colouring and drawing, multiplayer card and board games, creative building activities we regularly rotate, or even just relax in our calm corner with a book. Uno, Spot It and chess have been a recent hit with all students, and even teachers and staff have been working hard to get our weekly puzzles finished. It is fantastic to see the students working together, teaching each other, and sharing their beautiful art work on our Art Wall!
The break room is a great place to foster social connections, build friendships outside of class, and most importantly – provide fun and engaging activities and games during break times! We are always open to suggestions from students and families for new games or activities to add to our collection.

Performing Arts Club:
Every Friday during the first half of lunch, our Performing Arts Club offers students a lively space to explore their passions in music, drama and dance. It's a welcoming environment to build confidence, express creativity and connect with peers across year levels. Activities include rhythm exercises, exploring instruments, role play, script work and learning new dance routines.
This week, we hosted a Talent Show open to all year levels. Students showcased their talents through karaoke-style singing, drumming and keyboard performances.
Highlights included Zachary's (5D) captivating keyboard pieces that both opened and closed the show; Fatima (4A) and Natalia's (4A) dynamic drumming and vocals; Oscar (5B) and Yousif's (5B) spirited rendition of "Shake It Off"; Ahri (2B) and Hareem's (2B) duet of "Stargazing"; Amira's (2B) solo performance of "Girl on Fire" and Aida’s (4B) confident performance of “Pretty Little Liar.”
The club continues to be a nurturing space for students to shine and support one another. We look forward to more inspiring performances and creative explorations in the weeks ahead!

Students are learning vocal warm-ups and techniques, singing as an ensemble and developing music reading and performance skills. They’re currently rehearsing their debut song for assembly, which features vocal arrangements including solos, duets and quartets.

PE: Lunchtime Club Update
Over the past month, our PE Lunchtime Club has started once a week and has been a fantastic space for students to stay active, build friendships, and develop their sporting skills. A particular focus during this time has been on preparing for our Winter Sports Gala Day. Students who were selected to represent the school in netball, soccer, or football were given dedicated time to train, practise specific skills, and discuss the day in the lead-up to the big event. These sessions helped boost both confidence and teamwork, ensuring students felt ready and excited to take the field or court.
In addition to the structured training, we’ve also ensured there’s time for students to enjoy free play in the gym. Students were encouraged to use equipment safely, engaging in creative games, and continuing to practise their volleyball skills. It’s been fantastic to see so many students show responsibility, enthusiasm, and great sportsmanship during these sessions. The lunchtime club continues to be a highlight of the week for many, and we look forward to offering more focused and fun sporting opportunities throughout the year.
