Term 2 2025

Dear Roxburgh Park Primary School Community,
As we reach the end of Term 2, we take this opportunity to reflect on what has been a rewarding and productive term for our students, staff, and families. It’s been wonderful to see our students continue to grow in confidence, curiosity, and community spirit.
Farewell to Assistant Principal Libbi Posar
It is with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to our wonderful Assistant Principal, Libbi Posar, who will be leaving Roxburgh Park Primary School at the end of this term. Libbi has accepted an Assistant Principal position at another school, and while we are saddened to see her go, we are also incredibly proud and excited for her new journey.
Libbi has made a significant contribution to RPPS during her time here. Her leadership, warmth, and dedication to the wellbeing and success of every student have had a lasting impact on our school community. Libbi will be greatly missed by students, staff and families alike. We thank her sincerely and wish her all the very best in her new role.
Sarah Nobbs will be continuing in the role as Acting Principal in Term 3 to replace Libbi and we will be welcoming back Adrian Hanson at the start of Term 3.
On Monday 23rd June we welcomed Renee Ruuska, our new Business Manager to RPPS. We all look forward to working with Renee.
From classroom achievements and creative projects to the fantastic Grade 5/6 market stalls, this term has been filled with energy and engagement. Our 5/6 students did an outstanding job planning, promoting, and running their stalls – showcasing entrepreneurial skills, teamwork, and initiative. A big thank you to the Years 5/6 teachers and ES support staff who supported this event and helped make it such a success. On the last day of Term all students will enjoy a PJ and movie day to celebrate a successful Term. A reminder that school finishes at 2:30pm on Friday 4th July.
Student Reports and Parent/Teacher Interviews
Families are advised that Semester 1 student reports will be sent home next week. These written reports provide a comprehensive overview of your child’s progress and achievements across all learning areas. We encourage parents and carers to take the time to read through the report with your child and celebrate their efforts and successes. Thank you to staff for their time and effort in writing the reports. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss their child’s report and progress at Parent/Teacher interviews scheduled for Thursday 24th July. Please note that on this day it is a student free day and parents are encouraged to bring their child/ren along to the interviews to celebrate their learning and discuss their achievements. Information has been provided to families on how to book an interview for their child/ren via Sentral.
Canteen Opening – Term 3
We are excited to announce that the school canteen will officially reopen at the start of Term 3!
We know this has been long-awaited, and we truly appreciate the patience and understanding of our students and families during the closure period. The canteen will offer a fresh and updated menu, with both lunch orders and counter sales available. More details, including operating days and how to order, will be shared at the beginning of next term.
Term 3 promises to bring even more learning opportunities and meaningful experiences for our students. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, 21 July 2025.
Until then, we encourage everyone to enjoy a restful and safe holiday break. Thank you once again for your ongoing support, and for being such an important part of the Roxburgh Park Primary School community.
Warm regards,
The Principal Team
