Our Year 6 children had their first full day of transition to Year 7 on Wednesday and both Bathurst High and Kelso High Campuses. The children were very excited about all the different subjects and facilities the high school have to offer. Well done to our Year 6 children on their participation and behaviour on Wednesday. You were wonderful representatives of our school.
The Multicultural Public Speaking Competition local finals have taken place today. At the time of printing we were still waiting to hear the results. We had Peyton McIntosh involved in the finals today. We look forward to hearing the results on Peyton's return.
Last week, Charlotte Morris proudly represented Bathurst Public School as a member of the Western Girls Basketball team at the NSW PSSA Basketball State Championship Cup in Sutherland. Over three action-packed days, Charlotte played with determination and enthusiasm alongside nine other talented players from across the Western region. It was a fantastic experience for such a passionate and dedicated young athlete —congratulations, Charlotte! A shout out to Mrs Francis for her continued support of BPS basketball, and to Mr Datt for helping Charlotte balance both the Championship and her Stanwell Tops school camp experience. What a busy week!
Also last week, Cruz Fischbeck attended the NSW PSSA State Rugby League Championships in Liverpool . Cruz played well at fullback and also took on the goal-kicking responsibilities of the team! The team finished 10th overall, which against some very tough competition, is a great result! Well done, Cruz.
Good luck to our Rugby League Team, Mrs Goninan, Mrs Fischbeck, and Charlie and Jackson Fischbeck as they travel to Parkes tomorrow to take part in the Regional finals of the NSW PSSA Knockout Competition. They have trained and prepared well, and we wish them all the very best of luck.
