We in FTD have been practicing a great song for learning our Friends of Ten (numbers that add together to make ten). It's been working for us in a few ways, as a first exposure to the Friends of Ten for some, while for others it's a useful tool for remembering through the use of rhyming words. To help the numbers stick in our brains, we usually have a leader sing each line, and then the class 'echoes' it.

Friends of ten, going to the party! Learn this song and you’ll be a smarty Friends of ten, going to the party today!

Ten and zero, dancing hero! Nine and one, let’s have some fun! Eight and two, together like glue! Seven and three, dance with me! Six and four, let me hear ya roar! Five and five, do the hand jive!

Five and five, feel alive! Four and six, get in the mix! Three and seven, party heaven! Two and eight, bring a plate! One and nine, get in line! Zero and ten, let’s party again!
